Here's what's new with me.

I'm actively seeking employment working with good people on challenging and interesting technical problems.

I really enjoy PHP, but it seems like most PHP work is either with an agency or ad tech. To help with my job hunt, I've been toying with a few different languages to see what I might enjoy writing on a day-to-day basis if I take an IC role.

Alli and I have recently started doing weekly date nights again and we're both having a great time. We've been putting away our phones, cooking dinner together, and then doing something together -- for the past couple of weeks, we've solving a Hunt A Killer murder mystery (Mallory Rock). We're putting together a list of stuff to pick from for when we run out of Mallory Rock episodes -- suggestions are welcome!

This one has been on my list for a while. Someone recently gifted me a copy and I'm extremely excited to read it.

I'm deciding between The Elements of Computing Systems, Crafting Interpreters, and The Art of Doing Science and Engineering.

This is one of my favorite piano pieces of all time. I (somewhat) recently decided to learn it, and at this point, I'm able to play it from memory. I'm still working on tweaking and polishing some parts that I'd like to do better with, but I'm nearing the point where I can put this one to bed.

This is another of my favorites. I learned the intro back in high school, but never made it past the first page or so. This piece feels punishingly difficult in some parts, but so did the first arabesque when I started and powering through it helped my playing immensely.

This one, I'm watching alone (Alli doesn't much care for horror). I never finished the game that this series was based on, so I might pick that back up sometime soon. So far, I'm extremely impressed with the production quality.

Alli and I started watching this together, but it was a bit too graphic for her tastes. We got through part of episode 2. I might pick this up after The Last of Us.

I play a few rounds with my friends on the weekends. It definitely fits my need for something that I can pick up, play for some relatively short period of time, and then put down and not think about again for a week.

I made the mistake of picking this back up again. I've put far too many hours into this game, but what can you do?: the factory must grow.

I finally made the plunge and purchased a rowing machine. After an off-and-on relationship with exercise, I think I've finally found a workout that I can enjoy.
